Plot:

film follows a group of military
scientists who enter "The Shimmer," a mysterious quarantined zone that
is full of mutating landscapes and creatures. Review:

- I like the creativity of the world. This is such a wild idea that pushes mood first, using visuals to underscore that. It goes too far in trying to explain the science. You can easily pick apart the story, unless you subscribe to unreliable narrator, but that feels like a cop out. Despite any plot contrivances, you're left with the question of what happened and what did I just watch. That will spark a lot of debate.
