Plot:
A powerful friendship blossoms between a tightly wound widow and a
free spirit with a shocking secret. Christina Applegate plays Jen,
struggling to keep it together after her husband was killed in a hit and
run. Linda Cardellini plays the free spirit Judy.Review:

- While the draw is Cardellini and Applegate on a show together, their
characters are fully developed through grief and humor as they play off
each other. They're very different characters, and I also wondered if
secrets would be revealed. The show slowly provides more information for
both characters, and at times this part mystery show as Applegate's
character is determined to discover the truth. In the case of this show,
the truth could do more harm than good.
Nearing the end this seemed poised to wrap everything up, but the final episode takes a turn which ensures there is plenty of story for another season.
