Plot: 

Written and created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss and inspired by Bram Stoker's classic novel, three feature length episodes will re-introduce the world to Dracula, the vampire who made evil evil. In Transylvania in 1897, the blood drinking Count is drawing his plans against Victorian London.

• Reported on November 28, 2018 that Claes Bang will play the title role.
• The series began as a joke when creator Mark Gatiss took a silhouetted picture of Benedict Cumberbatch sporting his Sherlock Holmes coat with his collar up, and remarked that it resembled the blood-sucking Count Dracula.
