Review:

A gripping tale, expertly told. It feels like a classic movie as far as story and presentation. This kind of movie, like Black Beauty, is rarely presented any more. Instead films opt for explosions and summer blockbuster status. It's a shame. You know the boy and horse will meet again, but it comes together in a magical and touching way. It's a great film, and while the story seems a bit slow to start, but the ending is great.
Watch it.

Clint Eastwood in The Outlaw Josey Wales
The Outlaw Josey Wales - Clint Eastwood in the West.

The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976)
Watch The Outlaw Josey Wales
Written by: Forrest Carter (book "Gone To Texas"), Philip Kaufman and Sonia Chernus (screenplay) Directed by: Clint Eastwood
Starring: Clint Eastwood, Sondra Locke, Chief Dan George
Rated: PG

Plot:
A farmer joins the Confederacy and ends up on the run from the Union.

Review:
A great Clint Eastwood western. It starts a bit slow, but picks up soon. It feels much more modern than the release date would indicate. Though some of the wounds seem fake and the blood is far too bright, looking unnatural. It's a shame the western is now a forgotten genre, but when The Lone Ranger is what Hollywood releases as a western it's no surprise. We get to see classic Clint Eastwood in the genre that made him famous. If you like this genre, I'd rate it even higher.
It depends.
