Plot:
In the modern world, a man from the middle East seems to perform miracles. The series explores the lines between religion, faith and politics. It chronicles the modern world's reaction to a man who first appears in the Middle East and gains followers after claiming he is the Messiah. Is he sent from God or is he a dangerous fraud? Reactions are seen from multiple points of view including a CIA agent, an Israeli Shin Bet officer, a Latino preacher & his Texan daughter, a Palestinian refugee, and the media.

  • Beau Bridges plays Edmund DeGuilles, a charming televangelist with a large following and an even greater net worth. He's the protective father of Anna Iguero (Melinda Page Hamilton), who gets drawn into the world of al-Masih through his son-in-law Felix.
  • Philip Baker Hall plays Zelman Katz, a former CIA asset and the widowed loving father of Eva Geller (Michelle Monaghan). Now retired, he is starting to have second thoughts about life.
