Sin City: A Dame to Kill For - Lots of style. |
Watch Sin City: A Dame to Kill For
Written by: Frank Miller, Frank Miller (graphic novels)
Directed by: Frank Miller, Robert Rodriguez
Starring: Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Rosario Dawson, Bruce Willis, Eva Green, Powers Boothe, Dennis Haysbert, Ray Liotta, Jeremy Lloyd, Christopher Lloyd
Rated: R
A comic book come to film. Stories of cops criminals and the in-between intertwine in the corrupt Sin City.
It's got a lot of style, but i didn't like it as much as the first. It seemed too fragmented, maybe it just isn't as fresh or the characters aren't as developed. There were no standout segments.
It depends.

The Purge: Anarchy |
Watch The Purge: Anarchy
Written by: James DeMonaco, James DeMonaco (characters)
Directed by: James DeMonaco
Starring: Frank Grillo, Carmen Ejogo, Zach Gilford
Rated: R
It's Purge Night, the one time a year when crime is permitted. Vengeance, survival, and terror collide.
It's a cool concept. This is a reboot of the first, the focus isn't quite as tight, the downfall of nearly all sequels in an attempt for 'bigger and better' . The concept in itself has it flaws, a caricature to make the movie entertaining, glossing over the intricacies and psychology of such an event. The first felt a bit more realistic as it avoid generalizations.
It depends.
