Plot
Milo tries to be a family man and run his criminal organization, but a wrong drug shipment endangers everything.
Verdict
This could really be called the bad day trilogy. We meet a character that is trying to be better, but mishaps cause him to falter. Milo is pulled in multiple directions, but he can only bend so far before he breaks. That has consequences for everyone. Milo gets out of his situation, but he ends up a lot farther from where he wants to be figuratively than when this movie started.
It depends.
Review
This movie concludes the Pusher trilogy. This really could be the 'bad day' trilogy. The first movie introduced us to the characters we'd see in the sequels. Each protagonist is having a really bad day.
Milo (Zlatko Buric) was menacing in the first movie when Frank lost the drugs, but here Milo seems docile. His adult daughter bosses him around in regards to the party he's throwing her, and then we see Albanian suppliers talk down to him in Milo's own building. What's happening is that Milo is trying to clean himself up, but this life and the associated stresses don't make that easy. Milo is having a bad day, which is really the theme of this trilogy, and he eventually snaps.
Zlatko Buric plays Milo |
Milo is delivered the wrong drugs while he's preparing for his daughter's birthday, and as he's maintaining a fresh sobriety. He's supposed to be a great cook, but his food makes his crew sick further complicating rectifying the drug delivery problem and his daughter's party. In the first movie, Frank made an uneasy deal with Milo. Now Milo makes an uneasy deal with Albanians. Milo doesn't trust them, but he has to take a risk to get out of this situation.
Milo deals drugs, and it's difficult to get distance in this line of business when trying to stay clean. Getting out of a situation is never as easy as getting into it. Milo takes risk after risk trying to get out of the situation, but he keeps getting in debt. He makes a deal with guys he doesn't trust nor like. They are into worse stuff than Milo, and they're clearly exerting their dominance over him in Milo's own shop. Milo doesn't like it, but this is the way out of debt.
They keep pushing and Milo eventually snaps. Everything he was juggling is dropped. Milo confronts everything, and it gets gross as Milo disposes of bodies.
