Plot:
This animated series based on Guillermo del Toro's book is about friends Jim, Toby, and Claire, who uncover a mystery in their town. Jim  is selected to protect humans and trolls when he discovers the powerful Amulet of Daylight.

  • Fifty two total episodes are planned. The first season had twenty six, the second has thirteen, and the final season will have thirteen.
  • It features the voices of Anton Yelchin, Kelsey Grammer, and Ron Perlman.
  • While Yelchin passed away in 2016, he had already recorded the first two seasons.
  • Emile Hirsch joined the season three cast. Hirsch will voice the role of Jim Lake, Jr. 
  • Guillermo del Toro's  Trollhunters expanded into a trilogy featuring trolls in Trollhunters, wizards in Wizards, and aliens in 3Below.
  • Mark Hamill (Star Wars), Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) & David Bradley (Walder Frey in Game of Thrones, Doctor Who) join the cast for season two. Hamill voices the unknown older brother to a member of the Trollhunting team that has pledged his loyalty to the evil Gunmar. Heady plays an extremely powerful and evil sorceress who must be stopped at all costs. Bradley voices a mysterious figure known to have great magical powers, but the Trollhunters discover he's not the mystical wizard they expected.  
  • Tatiana Maslany and Diego Luna will voice Aja and Krel, two mysterious new students who unknowingly come to the aid of the Trollhunters team in the fight against Morgana.
