Gabriel Iglesias: I’m Sorry For What I Said When I Was Hungry Netflix Comedy Special Review

Gabriel Iglesias: I’m Sorry For What I Said When I Was Hungry (2016)
Watch Gabriel Iglesias: I’m Sorry For What I Said When I Was Hungry on Netflix
Starring: Gabriel Iglesias
Directed by: Manny Rodriguez

Also known as "Fluffy", he's sold out venues in multiple countries and now he's on Netflix.

This is great stand up comedy. Fluffy is energetic as he moves around the stage, sharing stories and making observations. The sheer range of noises he makes from doves flying to electronic sounds is impressive, while he also has a pretty good southern accent.
The segues between each topic are seamless and there isn't a single dull moment. He closes the set out strong with a story about a racist gift basket that you need to hear.
Watch it.

It's uncanny the range of sounds Fluffy can reproduce, it doesn't seem possible that he can craft so many accents but he does. He doesn't do impressions, these are fictional characters in the stories he tells. He jokes about the job interview voice everyone practices and uses.
You can tell he's have a lot of fun as he recounts his eighteen years of doing stand up, making jokes about eating, family, and how Batman is the creepiest super hero.

Early in the set he states Hispanics have a sound that can negate anything you say, no matter how important. It uses that sound to great effect throughout the set. At one point he transitions to the environment and saving water, urging people to reuse towels used for drying off, "If that towel is dirty, then you suck at showers." He then pivots to cops that drive a Prius. He surmises they must face a lot of flack from drunks; get a real car, charge my phone, etc.

Fluffy concludes the show with a story about a racist gift basket he got his friend and how a fan in Mobile, Alabama got him one, going to great lengths to make it good and impress Fluffy. Fluffy's accent for the Alabama resident sounds just like Larry the Cable Guy. It's a great way to close out the set with a detailed and hilarious story.
