Plot
A journalist travels from New York to Eastern Europe to cover a royal event where she meets the dashing prince poised to be king while posing as a tutor for the prince's sister.

Verdict
It's a Hallmark channel style movie. The plot takes some easy shortcuts, it's very predictable, but if you want a Christmas movie that requires little thinking, this is the ticket. Just know what this is going into it. As a movie overall this is easily a skip it, but if you just want a Christmas movie you haven't seen before, this might be worth giving it a shot provided your expectations are low.
It depends.

Review
Reporter Amber (Rose McIver) is tasked with writing an expose on playboy Prince Richard. She stumbles into becoming his sister's tutor, positioning herself for an inside look at the prince.

There are no surprises.  You know very quickly Richard and Amber like each other and that they will end up together. There are characters to provide some intrigue, a jealous cousin of Richard's and an ex, but that's just set dressing.

Amber discovers the prince isn't a womanizing playboy at all. He begins to like her when he sees Amber instilling confidence in his sister. Amber likes him when she sees what a big heart he has.

Of course you know her ruse as a tutor won't last long, and the movie will make us think it's a blow to the budding relationship that can't be solved, but that's just standard practice in movies like this. It's manipulative and sentimental, not even trying to offer anything new.

I didn't like this movie. It's plot is thin, and the characters are cardboard cutouts, but if you want a holiday movie, a lot of them fall into this formula and many people don't care.
