Plot
Five interwoven stories occur in a small town on Halloween, and those who break the rules of the holiday do so at their own peril.

Verdict
This movie embodies Halloween by providing five stories that touch upon common Halloween tropes, but this also keeps the pacing quick. None of these stories quite play out like you think, and this deftly links them together in often unexpected ways. It's a fun Halloween movie that feels like a series of ghost stories. If there was ever a traditional Halloween movie, this should be it.

Review
The common elements of the related stories is a character breaking Halloween traditions. If you do that, you will pay the consequences. The first sequence wastes no time by providing a preview of what's to come. The tension and reveals are always well done, and this can be quite humorous for a horror movie.

This is a tribute to horror movies. With the five stories, nearly all of them have some kind of twist, a nice misdirection that keeps the story from becoming stale. I also like how this loops the stories and characters together. It's one town and we see what's happening on this night, with characters making appearances in stories other than their own. To say more would be spoiling any of the narratives.

The movie does such a great job of linking these vignettes together. Each story on its own is a great ghost story, a Halloween send up. This has some comic book stylings from the intro to text boxes and the story feels like that. This is a great Halloween movie overall
