Plot
A group of astronauts living in the haunting emptiness of deep space awake to find earth has suffered an extinction level event.

Verdict
While it's a budget movie, the production is really good. It's a dirty space look similar to Alien. The problem is that this is a movie about desperation, but the characters aren't developed past typical tropes.
Skip it.

Review
The opening deftly packs a lot of information into the opening montage. Then we get a flash forward scene nearly a decade later to let us know it all goes wrong. I don't like that, movies need to let the story stand on its own.
The space station Pangea.
The plot itself isn't bad, a crew on a space station becomes stranded. This is after their years long mission has left them unfit for the job psychologically. The crew is desperate, but characters aren't that interesting. Frequent flash forwards provide an unwelcome mystery and interruption. This can't help but revel in the fact that things go wrong instead of focusing on the how.

The physics is a bit off. I question whether the characters could survive the exposure we see. This movie reminds me a bit of Sunshine, but that felt more realistic. Sunshine had the realism and big moments that 3022 doesn't. It also shows a more interesting ship. The difference maker is that Danny Boyle directed Sunshine. The director can make a big difference in a movie. 3022  is a nice idea, but that's it. The execution just isn't there.
