Plot
At a Jewish funeral service with her parents, a college student runs into her sugar daddy.

Verdict
A budget movie that manages to capture a lot of emotion even if it feels exaggerated at times. It captures the uncertainty of the future for a college senior where everything is in flux. She's not quite an adult, but not a kid either. At this one event where this disparate parts of her life converge, she's trying to figure out where she stands and where she is going.
It depends.

Review
This is based on the 2018 short film from the same writer/director and also starring Rachel Sennott. Sennott plays Danielle, an aimless college student that ends up at a funeral with her parents where she's compared to her over-achieving ex Maya. No one approves of a same sex relationship. Danielle's parents try to spin her situation as best they can, for Danielle and their own egos. Her overbearing parents push her to make connections and solicit a job.

Rachel Sennott plays Danielle.

If that situation weren't already awkward, Danielle's client she met on a website Max shows up. Max is funding Danielle in part as she tells her parents she earns money baby sitting. Max realizes he's not paying for Danielle's school as she discovers a few unknown truths about Max.

Tension generates from Danielle wanting to escape the visitation and all of these people while being completely unable. Each of them is something she needs to confront, her past, present, and future. Danielle lashes out at Max for lying to her and at Maya out of jealousy. Danielle is stuck in this situation serving as a metaphor for life. She's on the brink of adulthood with all of this baggage, trying to figure out what to do. It's overwhelming, and she doesn't always respond well.
