Plot
An animated series that follows the exploits of drunk, careless, super scientist Rick and his dimwitted, anxious  grandson Morty as they traverse multiple universes.

Verdict
This show is still just as wild and inventive. This season has a couple of great episodes, though I'm not sure any are instant classics like previous seasons. It's still as dark and depraved as it's ever been, but it doesn't seem as deep. Previous seasons have explored the interpersonal dynamics of the family while this season is more about crazy adventures. It's still a lot of fun
Watch it.

Review
This show takes ridiculous to such an extreme. With infinite worlds to explore, we often see something odd. These episodes aren't as layered or deep as previous years. This season is less about Rick and Morty's relationship or their dynamic with the rest of the family. Episodes are mostly self contained.

The first episode is about Mr. Poopybutthole. Hugh Jackman's appearance is wacky but entertaining. It's a combination of many references, but it's silly seemingly for the sake of it.

Episode 2: The Jerrick Trap

The second episode I like more, opening with Rick and Jerry debating whether you're born intelligent or develop it. While the episode devolves into a wild adventure and body horror, I like that it starts out being about a specific idea.

Episode 4: That's Amorte

My favorite episode this season is "It's Amorte." The show manages to make spaghetti disgusting yet delicious and then spins that idea into a concept that would crush a civilization due to late stage capitalism. Rick reverses the spaghetti consumption after failed attempts. It's a masterful episode that packs so much emotion into a late sequence during a song. It's impressive, especially since this is just a spaghetti episode.

There's an episode about Evil Morty, but it didn't live up to my expectations. Maybe they were too high since the show has been building the Evil Morty character for so long.

Episode eight, "Rise of the Numbericons," is my least favorite episode. It's silly but not entertaining. It's an episode that wants to be Rick and Morty but doesn't know how.

Episode 10: Fear No Mort

Episode ten is a return to exploring Rick and Morty's dynamic as they encounter a fear hole at a Denny's.

This season is still worth watching though I don't think it's in the run for one the best season. It's difficult for any show to feel fresh after six seasons, but this is still a really good show. It's ridiculous to an extreme and that's what makes it so humorous. Being animated allows this to go too far as the animation blunts the content.
