Plot
A C.I.A. operative on the edge of retirement discovers a family secret and is called back into the field for one last job.

Verdict
It's got plenty of action and various plot points to keep the pacing quick. That's almost a fault as the show introduces so many scenarios without developing them. The show tries too hard to make sure viewers aren't bored. Many of Arnold's quotes are references to his movies, but this isn't a comedy. It can be funny, especially the sidekick agents. The basis of this show is a father and daughter at odds as they reconcile. This is better than I expected, but if it released weekly you'd likely forget about it.
It depends.

Review
Arnold plays Luke Brunner, a CIA agent on his last mission. The first episode and mission is certain slick and even funny. None of the other missions this season are as coordinated and choreographed. Luke is excited to retire and get his life back after being devoted to the job.

Of course he's called back in for one last mission. It turns out his daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro) is also a CIA agent. Luke must save her, much to her annoyance. This is a work place comedy and action movie mash up. The drama is how neither of them trust each other now after their lies are revealed. Neither new the other was an agent. They're very similar which causes the rift to grow. You know throughout this season, they'll learn to like each other.

Monica Barbar, Arnold Schwarzenegger play Emma, Luke

Luke and Emma clash throughout the season over how to run missions, independence, and whether it's right to have and lie to a partner. There's plenty of tension over whether Emma should leave her partner Carter (Jay Baruchel) and spare him the grief of the job coming first. Luke wishes to rekindle a relationship with his ex-wife, but he's constantly thwarted by the job.

The other agents, Barry (Milan Carter), Aldon (Travis Van Winkle), Roo (Fortune Feimster), act as comic relief. This does introduce Aldon as a potential love interest for Emma is such a typical and tired story line and unnecessary when this show has so many characters and plot points. This continues across many episodes.

This show has so much going on and even drops in a medical issue with a family member. That's introduced and resolved in one episode. This show never feels slow, but this also could do a better job of developing some of the shorter arcs.

The show is about father and daughter conflict. It's heightened because they work jobs that require the utmost secrecy. This has caused them both to lie to many people and as a result of those lies we have the villain that antagonizes them both throughout this season.

This is better than I thought it would be, but it seems like it was written for mass appeal. I enjoyed the season enough, but it wouldn't bother me if this were canceled. The final episode leaves it wide open for a second season. The story line isn't quite concluded, but Luke and Emma do reach an understanding.
