The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale (February 18)
Netflix Original Series - 13 episodes
This half-hour topical series will skewer the latest events in pop culture and news from across the globe. It will feature celebrity guests, comedy sketches, and video clips from the worldwide realms of TV, sports, politics, celebrity culture, and every corner of the internet. The first episode debuts February 18 with new episodes weekly.
The series marks a return to form for McHale, who hosted the unscripted E! series “The Soup” from 2004-2015. McHale is also known for starring in the sitcom “Community.”

FullMetal Alchemist (February 19)
Netflix Distributed Movie
In this live action movie, alchemy is a magical science, defining the culture of a Germanic nation. Edward and Alphonse Elric are two brothers who try to escape their dead mother, and in the ensuing horror, Ed loses an arm and a leg and Al winds up a disembodied soul bound to a suit of armor. They grow into brilliant alchemists, joining the military to seek the Philosopher's Stone that could help them restore their bodies.

The Frankenstein Chronicles Season 1 & Season 2 (February 20)


Netflix Distributed Series - 6 episodes (season 1), 6 episodes (season 2)
Re-imagining Mary Shelley's 1818 novel Frankenstein into a period crime drama, Inspector John Marlott (Sean Bean), a river police officer, uncovers a corpse made up of body parts from eight missing children and sets about determining the identity of the person responsible.
Season one aired on ITV in 2015, with season two airing in 2017.

Forgotten (February 21)
Netflix Distributed Korean Language Movie
Written and directed by Hang-Jun Chang, when his older brother Yuseok gets kidnapped, Jinseok suffers from hallucination until Yuseok returns home on the 19th day with a memory loss and strange behavior. Finding himself in a hidden murder case locked in Yuseok's memory, Jinseok sets out to face a heartbreaking truth. Top Korean stars Ha-Neul Kang and Moo-Yeol Kim star as Jinseok and Yuseok.
It will have a Korean theatrical release on November 29.

Marseille Season 2 (February 23)

In this French language series, Robert Taro (Gérard Depardieu) is mayor of Marseille and on the verge of retirement. When he is betrayed his former protégé Lucas Barrès (Benoît Magimel), he decides to run for mayor again.
In season 2, incumbent mayor Robert Taro in the intensive care unit while Lucas Barrès tries to oust him, but he is still nine votes short of becoming the new mayor.

Mute (February 23)




Netflix Original Movie
Set in 2051 Berlin, a mute bartender searches for a girl in the city's underground. This stars Alexander Skarsgård, Paul Rudd, and Justin Theroux. Based on a story by and directed  by Duncan Jones (Warcraft, Moon), this is part of a trilogy that includes Moon (2009) with Sam Rockwell.

Seven Seconds Season 1 (February 23)


Netflix Original Series - 10 episodes
Tensions are high between African-American citizens and Caucasian police officers in Jersey City when an African-American boy is critically injured by a police officer.
In a society fraught with racial tension, sensational headlines, and an audience who would rather be entertained than informed, seven seconds can mean life or death. Created by Veena Sud, show runner for The Killing, look at the human stories behind the headlines.

Derren Brown: The Push (February 27)


Netflix Special
An English mentalist and illusionist, he has produced several shows both for the stage and for television. He has written books for magicians as well as the general public. Brown does not claim to possess any supernatural powers and his acts are often designed to expose the methods of those who do, such as faith healers and mediums. In his performances he often expresses that his effects are achieved through "magic, suggestion, psychology, misdirection, and showmanship."

Adel Karam: Live from Beirut (March 1)
 


Netflix Arabic Language Comedy Special
This is Netflix's first middle eastern production with Lebanese comedian and actor Adel Karam performing stand up comedy. Adel addresses relationships and social issues faced by Arabs with his sarcastic humor. He is going to his hometown of Beirut to record the special. Adel has appeared on several late night shows, series, and the Lebanese movie Caramel.

In a small and remote village in Quebec locals are not the same anymore. Their bodies are breaking down and they have turned against their loved ones. A handful of survivors go to the woods, looking for others like them.
Written and directed by Robin Aubert, the movie stars Marc-André Grondin, Monia Chokri, Micheline Lanctot, Brigitte Poupart, Charlotte St. Martin, Marie-Ginette Guay Luc Proulx and Édouard Tremblay-Grenier. Les ffamés premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September 2017 where it won Best Canadian Feature film and was released theatrically in Canada in October 2017.

Gad Elmaleh: American Dream (March 6)

Netflix Original French Language Comedy Special
Co-created and executive produced by French comedian Gad Elmaleh, the series is inspired by Gad's own life and career, following him in a move from France to U.S. He's a huge comedian in France, but at a crossroads he leaves for Los Angeles to try and reconnect with his estranged, comedy hating, sixteen year old male model son.
Elmaleh already has one comedy special with Netflix and is working on a series inspired by his own life, Huge in France.

Marvel's Jessica Jones Season 2 (March 8)

Netflix Original Series - 13 episodes
Jessica is a former super hero who runs a detective agency. With a dry wit and sarcastic tone, she reluctantly fought a villain from her past in season 1.
Leah Gibson is a regular for season 2 playing Ingrid the street-wise with an education as a nurse. Fans speculate Ingrid is a code name for Marvel Comics character Typhoid Mary, an enemy of Daredevil who suffers from dissociative identity disorder.

Annihilation (March 12) - Excludes U.S.


Netflix Distributed Movie
The film stars Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, Tuva Novotny and Oscar Isaac, and follows a group of military scientists who enter "The Shimmer," a mysterious quarantined zone that is full of mutating landscapes and creatures.
It releases in U.S. theaters on February 23, before international release via Netflix.

With branching story lines and various choices, children get to participate in the show as it unfolds. Children make a choice with a remote, controller, or touch screen. If a choice isn't made, the show will continue after fifteen seconds.

Netflix Japanese language Exclusive Series with Fuji Television/Japan - 8 episodes
Moving from Hawaii to a Karuizawaw, Japan resort this unscripted reality series premieres in Japan on December 19 with bi-weekly episodes. Part 1 launches globally in 2018. Terrace House: Opening New Doors follows Boys and Girls in the City and Alopha State, documenting the daily lives of six men and women living together in a shared house. There series was announced on November 1.

Their successful robbery attracts the attention of the store manager after he recognizes one of the women, but for a different reason altogether tied to the money. Starring Christina Hendricks, Retta, Mae Whitman, and Matthew Lillard.
It will premiere on NBC February 26, with the Netflix premiere projected for March.

13 Reasons Why Season 2 (2018)


Netflix Original Series - 13 episodes
Season 1 was based on a 2007 young adult novel. Clay (Dylan Minnette) finds a box on his doorstep addressed to him two weeks after his classmate Hannah ended her life. Inside he discovers thirteen tapes with thirteen reasons why Hannah did it.
Season 2 continues the stories of the characters left behind as they deal with the aftermath, but Hannah will also definitely be back as characters delve into the past during the trial. We'll get answers on Bryce, Alex, and Tyler according to show runner Brian Yorkey and there will be a new piece of technology from the past introduced. Yorkey also stated that while season 1 was Hannah's point of view, and she didn't tell any untruths, there are at least 12 kids who have another point of view.
Eleven new actors have been cast for season 2, Anne Winters, Bryce Cass, Chelsea Alden, Allison Miller, Samantha Logan, Kelli O'Hara, Ben Lawson, Jay Weber, Brenda Strong, Meredith Monroe, and RJ Brown.
Chloe (Winters) is the 'it girl' and new head cheerleader.
Cyrus (Cass) is a cynical mischief maker and an unexpected champiion of the downtrodden. Mackenzie (Alden) is Cyrus's sister, artsy, witty, and outspoken.
Nina (Logan) is a track star with a secret.
Jackie (O'Hara) is a passionate advocate for victims of bullying.
Sonya (Miller) is an ambitious young litigator. Rick (Lawson) is the beloved baseball coach.
Barry Walker (Weber) is Bryce's father, a successful hedge fund manager.

A Korean Odyssey Season 1 (2018)

Inspired by the classic Chinese novel, Journey to the West (Xi You Ji), a monk takes a journey with four troublesome companions who must atone for their sins. The companions are a entertainment agency CEO, a real estate CEO, a top star for the entertainment agency, and a real estate businessman.
It features Lee Seung-Gi as the powerful Son Oh-Gong (based on Sun Wukong the Monkey King a mythical character featured in numerous legends), Cha Seung-Won as Woo Hwi-Chul (based on Bull Demon King), and Oh Yeon-Seo as Jin Sun-Mi (based on Xuanzang the seventh century Buddhist monk). There series will begin airing in Korea in December.
With A Korean Odyssey, Netflix also brings Prison Playbook and Argon onto its service. Prison Playbook is a comedy about a famous baseball player who suddenly ends up in jail, and Argon is about reporters who fight for the truth in the world of fake news.

Baby is a coming-of-age story that explores the unseen lives of Roman high schoolers. Loosely inspired by a true story, the Baby Squillo scandal, the series follows a group of Parioli teenagers as they defy society in their search for identity and independence against the backdrop of forbidden love, family pressures, and shared secrets.
The Baby Squillo scandal occurred in 2014 when two Italian female high school students from the city's wealthy residential Parioli district were discovered to be forced into part-time prostitution. Five people, including the mothers of both young women were arrested. The screenplay is written by a group of young Italian screenwriters called the Grams.
This is Netflix's third Italian series following Suburra and Juventus F.C.

Kevin Spacey will play author Gore Vidal in this biopic. As a political commentator Vidal focused on the history of the United States and its society, while his novels explored the nature of corruption in public and private life. Vidal passed away in 2012.
The movie is shooting on location at Gore's Italian villa La Rondinaia. Michael Stuhlbarg plays Howard, Gore's long time companion. Griffin Dunne and Douglas Booth also star with Michael Hoffman directing. The screenplay is by Hoffman and Jay Parini who wrote The Empire of Self: The Life of Gore Vidal.
On November 3, Netflix announced the cancellation after various reports of Spacey's sexual assaults.

Using vintage videos, first person interview, and historic artifacts, Campbell tells the story of his best friend Chris Hondros as Chris risked his life on the front line of wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya. This is produced by Jake Gyllenhaal.

House of Cards Season 6 (2018)

The imminent closing of the last Kodachrome Kodak facility is the ticking clock for a father-son road trip to Kansas to reach the lab and develop the memories on their rolls of film before they are lost forever.

Based on a Norwegian series by the same name, directed by Cary Fukunaga of True Detective, and starring Jonah Hill & Emma Stone, this dark comedy is about a man that lives in a fantasy while being locked in a mental institution. Sonoya Mizuno also stars, Justin Theoroux will guest star, and Julia Garner will be a recurring character. Garner recently starred in the Netflix original Ozark. Jemima Kirke will also have a recurring role.
On October 5, it was reported Sally Field joined the cast.

Marvel's Daredevil Season 3 (2018, projected)

In the second season of this super hero tale, Daredevil took on newcomers Elektra, The Punisher, and the Yakuza.
In season 3 Vincent D'Onofrio will return as Wilson Fisk. He was the main villain in season 1, with a brief appearance in season 2. It was reported on November 12, that filming for season 3 commenced.
It was reported on November 28 Wilson Bethel was cast as an FBI agent in a pivotal role between Daredevil and Kingpin. Speculation is that he may be the villain Sin-eater.
Joanne Whalley has been cast. potentially as Sister Maggie in the Born Again comic story.

Marvel's Iron Fist Season 2 (2018 projected)

The fourth of Marvel's comic book based shows, Finn Jones (Ser Loras Tyrell on Game of Thrones) stars as Danny Rand/Iron Fist who returns to New York after being presumed dead in a plane crash to fight corruption. Sigourney Weaver starred as the villain in season 1. It was reported on November 12 that season 2 would begin filming in December 2017.
On December 6 it was reported Alice Eve joined the cast.

Marvel's Luke Cage Season 2 (2018, projected)

Luke Cage is wrongly imprisoned and given super strength and impenetrable skin through a failed experiment.
Lucy Liu will direct the season 2 premiere episode. Images released on August 29 revealed Misty Knight's bionic arm.

Season 2 is set one year later, and is more of a sequel than continuation. A new monster emerges from the upside down to wreak havoc in Hawkins.
The Duffer brothers have confirmed season 3, and are planning a season 4 as the last season. They've said season 3 will be more character focused, embracing the fact the kids are growing up.
It was reported on November 18 that Kali (Eight) is likely to return to Season 3 to resolve her story line. The season 3 story line has been locked. Will Byers will get a break, a new evil emerges, and there will be more Dustin-Steve.

Early pre-production has already begun. At this point Claire Foy and Matt Smith are too young to continue playing their roles.
It was reported on January 5 that Helena Bonham Carter may play Princess Margaret.
The show is looking at Paul Bettany to take over as Prince Philip.
The creators have mentioned  the possibility of continuing the show's timeline to present day.

The Haunting of Hill House Season 1 (2018, projected)

Based on the 1959 Shirley Jackson novel of the same name, this series will be a modern re-imagining with horror movie director Mike Flanagan (Hush, Oculus) producing. The book is considered a horror classic, relying on terror rather than horror.
Timothy Hutton, Carla Gugino, and Michiel Huisman are starring, with Henry Thomas, Elizabeth Reaser, Kate Siegel, Lulu Wilson, Victoria Pedretti, Mckenna Grace. and Violet McGraw also cast.
The novel was previously adapted to film in 1963 and 1999, both titled The Haunting.
In the book, the heir to the house hosts a supernatural investigator who has invited a shy woman and a gypsy to the old mansion, both having previous paranormal experiences. The four of them experience unexplained phenomena.
On November 3, it was reported that Annabeth Gish would have a recurring role.

Umbrella Academy (2018)

Taking place in an alternate history where JFK wasn't assassinated and set in 1977, forty three super human infants were born to women with no signs of pregnancy. The Monocle adopts the seven surviving children. After disbanding, The Monocle's death brings them back together.
This is based on the Eisner award winning graphic novel created and written by Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance) and illustrated by Gabriel Bá, which was published in 2007.
Two comic series were published, Apocalypse Suite and Dallas, with two additional series in development.
It was reported on November 10 that Ellen Page would play Vanya aka The White Violin, the only member of the family without supernatural powers.

Central Park Five (2019)

Ava DuVernay will write and direct the true story with Oprah Winfrey as one of the producers, exposing the breakdown of the U.S. criminal justice system. This series will span from 1989 to 2014 focusing on the Central Park jogger case where Anthony McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana and Korey Wise were convicted of assault and rape of investment banker Trisha Meili in Central Park. These five juveniles were convicted twice before their sentences were vacated in 2002 when the real perpetrator confessed to the crimes. The Central Park five were exonerated, reaching a settlement with the city of New York.

Ratched Season 1 (2019)

This new drama from Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story, American Crime Story: People v. OJ Simpson), his first streaming series, has already been picked up for two seasons, 18 episodes total. The first season is expected to premiere in 2019. This is based on the 1975 film One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
Starring frequent Murphy collaborator Sarah Paulson as Nurse Ratched, the story begins in 1947 and will track Ratched as she morphs from a typical nurse into the monstrous authority figure she became in the novel and subsequent film.
Ryan Murphy and Michael Douglas are producing. Murphy will direct the first episode as he does with all of his projects. The script is a spec from Evan Romansky, fresh out of film school.

Rilakkuma and Kaoru Season 1 (2019)

Netflix Original Japanese Language Animated Series - 13 episodes
Rilakkuma is a toy bear that spends its days lounging around the apartment. Rilakkuma loves pancakes, rice omelets, custard pudding, and "dango" rice dumplings. Its friends are Kaoru's pet bird Kiiroitori and a small white cub named Korilakkuma.
 Based on Rilakkuma, an extremely popular Japanese toy-bear character similar to Hello Kitty, the stop motion animated episodes will be eleven minutes in length. Launched in 2003 by Japanese company San-X, which specializes in characters known as a "kawaii", meaning a cutesy cartoon-type figure, Rilakkuma draws large following, mostly among adult women. The Rilakkuma market is estimated to be worth two trillion dollars and is second only to Hello Kitty in the kawaii world.

The King (2019, projected)

David Michôd and Joel Edgerton wrote the script. Timothee Chalamet will play the young Henry V. After his brother is killed in battle before his coronation, a young king is coronated in the late 1300s. The reluctant ruler wears the crown at a time when France was teetering. He rises to the occasion, admirably.
Michôd's most recent film was the Netflix Original War Machine starring Brad Pitt. First announced on February 8.

Top Boy Season 3 (2019)

This British drama originally aired two seasons in 2011 and 2013. It was a stark and violent look at gang life and drug dealing in London, set on the fictional Summerhouse housing estate in Hackney, East London.
The original creative team is back, and Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson will reprise their roles as Dushane and Sully. The new episodes pick up as Dushane (Ashley Walters) returns from exile to his home in London to reclaim his throne in the highly lucrative drug market. Sully (Kane Robinson), his spiritual brother, partner, and sometime rival is also returning to the same streets after his own form of exile, prison, comes to an end. Awaiting them both is Jamie, the young, hungry and ruthless gang leader whose ambitions leave no place for Dushane and Sully.
It was first reported October 3rd, that two new seasons would be produced. Rapper Drake is executive producing.

He is hired by on of the children's parents, but after the mother disappears, the boy's father returns from the Iraq War intent on wreaking havoc.

House of Cards Spinoff (TBA)

Netflix is considering three potential spinoffs, with one concept focusing on Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly), the loyal political aide to the devious Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) in the first five seasons of the political drama. Eric Roth is set to write. 
Plans for the spinoffs are in limbo after Spacey admitted to sexual assault on October 30 and House of Cards  was announced as canceled following season 6 soon after.

It was reported on November 3rd that Jordan Gelber (Elementary) and James Lastovic (Days of Our Lives) will have recurring roles.
Gelber will play Hank Thompson, a local cop who doesn't see much action in his small town. He's eager for excitement, though he might not be able to handle it. Lasovic will play Christian. He  rebelled against his Junior League mother and preacher father, making him an outcast and popular.

Medici: Masters of Florence Season 2 (TBA) - US, UK, Canada, India, Taiwan

This follows the Medici dynasty, set in 15th century Florence, starring Dustin Hoffman as Giovanni di Bicci de' Medici. In season one, Richard Madden from Game of Thrones was the protagonist Cosmo the Elder, who was elected as the head of the Florentine republic and later mysteriously poisoned.
Season 2 will be called Medici: Lorenzo the Magnificent, taking place twenty years after season 1.
A young Lorenzo, the nephew of Richard Madden's character, is forced to take over the family bank, which has been mismanaged by his father. As Lorenzo and his brother try to make Florence a great financial and cultural center, they face off against the Pazzi family, and Pope Sixtus IV.
Sean Bean joins the cast in season 2 as Jacopo Pazzi. Daniel Sharman (Fear the Walking Dead) will take the lead role playing a young Lorenzo the Magnificent in 15th century Florence. Bradley James will star as his brother Giuliano.

This inventive sci-fi spec script written by Matthew K. Firpo and Ryan Firpo is set in the near future, tracking two brothers from the Favelas of Rio who are tasked with transporting the world's first true android. It's similar in tone to Ex Machina and Children of Men.

With a little help from a soulful barber and his young daughter Violet finds the courage to discard the unnecessary, starting with her perfectly straightened hair. Sanaa Lathan stars as Violet with Ernie Hudson playing her father Richard. RIcky Whittle has been cast as Clint, a doctor from London who has a long term relationship with Violet. Haifaa Al-Mansour will direct. Production begins August 2017.

Her husband (Paul Giamatti) is a theater producer and owns a business called The Pickle Guys. Denis O'Hare (American Horror Story) will co-star as a fertility specialist. The story is by writer-director Tamara Jenkins.

Quicksand [Störst av Allt] (TBA)

This is Netflix's first Swedish original. Based on the best-selling novel by Malin Persson, which was published in 26 countries and was voted Nordic Crime Novel of the year in 2016. Camilla Ahlgren is writing the adatpation about a normal high school student, Maja Norberg, from Stockholm's wealthiest suburb. She finds herself on trial for murder, but when the events of that tragic day are revealed, so too are the private details about her relationship with Sebastian Fagerman and his dysfunctional family. Production begins in 2018.

This new drama from Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story, American Crime Story: People v. OJ Simpson), his first streaming series, has already been picked up for two seasons, 18 episodes total. The second season is expected to premiere in 2020. This is based on the 1975 film One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
Starring frequent Murphy collaborator Sarah Paulson as Nurse Ratched, the story begins in 1947 and will track Ratched as she morphs from a typical nurse into the monstrous authority figure she became in the novel and subsequent film.
Ryan Murphy and Michael Douglas are producing. Murphy will direct the first episode as he does with all of his projects. The script is a spec from Evan Romansky, fresh out of film school.

Everyone tells Manju what he should be, but he needs to figure it out for himself.

On October 2, it was reported this reboot will begin production in December 2017. The script is by Black-ish (2014-) creator Kenya Barris and will star Samuel L. Jackson in the role of John Shaft. Jackson played the nephew of the original Shaft in the 2000 John Singleton movie.Jessie T. Usher ( Independence Day: Resurgence) is set to play Shaft's son, a young FBI cyber expert agent who, despite being estranged from his father, is forced to work with him on a case. Old school and new school collide, and Richard Roundtree is also expected to reprise his iconic role, as he did in the 2000 film.
The distribution deal is unique, with Netflix paying half of the film's $30 million budget for international streaming rights starting two weeks after the U.S. theater premiere. The domestic streaming and DVD release will follow a typical timeline.
On November 20 it was reported Alexandra Shipp was in talks for the female lead. On January 9 it was reported Matt Lauria, Regina Hall, and Method Man would also star.

Tales of the City Season 1 (TBA)

Netflix is reviving Armistead Maupin's San Franciso set Tales of the City with original cast members Laura Linney and Olympia Dukakis returning. This originally aired with both actors in 1993. The revival would be a modern take on the LGBT themed series set twenty five years later, possibly shot in San Francisco. Tales of the City was the first of nine books where Maupin explored alternative lifestyles and San Francisco culture.

It was reported on November 3 that Netflix acquired this sci-fi thriller, starring Maika Monroe, Ed Skrein, and Gary Oldman. Written by Noga Landau, a street-smart-grifter (Monroe) is the latest victim kidnapped and held captive in a fatal experiment. Tau, an advanced artificial intelligence developed by her captor Alex (Skrein) is her captor. She must race against the boundaries of man and machine to win her freedom before she suffers the same fate as the previous subjects.

The After Party (TBA)

The hip hop focused comedy follows two buddies looking to land a record deal before one heads to college and the other to the military. The story takes place during a weekend in New York City, including a concert at The Meadows Music and Arts Festival at Citi Field in Queens, and a live concert at the Gramercy Theater.
The movie stars Kyle Harvey, Teyana Taylor, Jordan Rock, Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, Blair Underwood, Harrison Holzer, Shelley Hennig, Amin Joseph and a number of celebrity cameos.

Inspired by Jim Henson's 1982 film The Dark Crystal, where elf-like 'Gelfing' Jen is on a quest to restore balance to his alien world by returning a lost shard to a powerful broken gem. While the movie used puppets, the subject matter was much darker than Henson's typical fare.
This prequel returns to the world of Thra, where three Gelfling discover the horrifying secret behind the Skeksis' power. They strive to ignite the fires of rebellion and save their world.

Based on the 2001 autobiography by Mötley Crüe bassist Nicky Sixx, the biopic will be directed by Jeff Tremaine.
Formed in Los Angeles in 1981 with bassist Sixx, drummer Tommy Lee, singer Vince Neil and guitarist Mick Mars, they debuted with the album Too Fast for Love . Known for its glam rock style, the band has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide.
It was reported on November 17 that Douglas Booth is in negotiations to play Nikki Sixx.

In this Chinese language series drama, three people apply for a dream job, to act like the children of a wealthy business man and help run his business. The pay and perks are great, but this mysterious man is hoping to use the application process to reunite with his long lost children.

The Eddy (TBA)

The Eddy is a musical drama set in contemporary multi-cultural Paris revolving around a club, its owner, the house band, and the chaotic city that surrounds them. It will be shot in France and feature dialogue in French, English, and Arabic.
Damien Chazelle is executive producing and will direct two episodes.
Chazelle stated, "I've always dreamed of shooting in Paris, so I'm doubly excited to be teaming up with Jack, Glen and Alan on this story, and thrilled that Netflix is home for it."
Written by BAFTA Award-winner Jack Thorne (National Treasure, This is England, Wonder), Emmy-winning producer Alan Poul (Six Feet Under, The Newsroom) will also executive produce with original music written by six-time Grammy Award-winner Glen Ballard (Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill, Michael Jackson's Bad).

The Good Cop Season 1 (TBA)

From the creator of Monk (2002-09), this series brings Tony Danza back to television in a 1 hour dramedy.
Danza plays disgraced former NYPD officer Tony Sr. who never followed the rules. He lives with his son, an earnest, obsessively honest NYPD detective Tony Jr., played by singer-songwriter Josh Groban, who makes a point of always following the rules. This odd couple becomes unofficial partners as Tony Sr. offers his overly-cautious son blunt, street-wise advice on everything from handling suspects to handling women.
This is Groban's first major tv role, his casting announced on November 8. Filming is scheduled to begin in late 2017.
It was reported on November 10 that Monica Barbaro will play Cara Vasquez, a street smart and self-assured detective on the All-City Homicide Task Force. She believes in getting the job done, even if that means bending the rules, which contrasts with her by-the-book partner, TJ Caruso.
It was reported on November 14th Isiah Whitlock Jr. (Senator Clay Davis in The Wire) was cast as Burl Loomis. He's counting down to retirement. Slow on his feet with a deadpan retort, he has no patience for the department's younger officers.

From two military veterans, Shawn Vance, U.S. special forces Green Beret, and Daril Fanin, former combat army medic, this hybrid action comedy mixes survival skills and tutorials with humor. It's an anthology series with each episode featuring a unique apocalypse survived by the show's hero Shawn (Shawn Vance). Matt Damon and Peter Berg ar producing. The series was first revealed on September 8, 2017.

The Kominsky Method (TBA)

Starring Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin with Big Bang Theory and Disjointed creator Chuck Lorre writing and executive producing, this comedy follows a Hollywood acting coach Sandy Kominsky played by Douglas. Arkin will co-star as his friend and agent Norman. Lisa is not the typical acting student, fifty with an 18 year old, she and Sandy start a relationship.
This is Douglas's first regular television role since the '70s. Nancy Travis was announced as the female lead on January 12. Lisa Edelstein (House) will have a recurring role.

This comedy stars Chevy Chase, Richard Dreyfuss, and Lewis Black.
The story centers on a talent manager (Chevy Chase) and widower (Richard Dreyfuss) reuniting long after Dreyfuss's character gave up a promising career as a stand-up comedian to settle down and start a family. He gets to see the life he could have had as he and his manager rekindle friendships, careers, and reminisce about the past.
Written and directed by Greg Pritikin, Andie MacDowell, Kate Micucci and Chris Parnell have also been cast. It was reported that filming began September 25.

A satirical comedy revolving around a wealthy politician from Santa Barbara played by Tony Award winner Ben Platt. The series is expected to have musical numbers in every episode. Barbra Streisand and Gwyneth Paltrow are in talks to join the cast. the series is from the Glee team of Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan.
Ryan Murphy also has an upcoming two season series debuting in 2019, Ratched, based on the One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest character.

The Pope (TBA)

The film tells the story of Pope Benedict's (Anthony Hopkins) election, and his subsequent resignation from the papacy. That opened the door for Jorge Mario Bergoglio, the Argentinian Cardinal who became the first Jesuit pope, Pope Francis (Jonathan Pryce). He was the first from the Americas and from outside Europe since the 8th Century. The drama conveys his reluctance to take the post in 2013.

Known as the Witcher Saga, Sapkowski's eight novels and story collections center on "witchers," hunters who develop supernatural abilities at a young age to battle deadly monsters.
The novels have been translated to numerous languages and have spawned a successful action-role playing video game franchise.

Simmons will play a legendary rapper whose plans for slowing down are thwarted by his wife. Simmons was a founding member of the groundbreaking hip hop group Run DMC, originally performing under the stage name DJ Run. He is also a practicing minister.

Other users suggested Ava DuVernay should direct and Issae Rae should write. Everyone mentioned showed interested and Netflix won the bid for the movie which should start filming in 2018.

Lucy Davis will play Aunt Hilda Spellman, one of Sabrina's two witch aunts. More nurturing than Zelda, Hilda's motherly nature and warm sense of humorous combine with a wicked, ghoulish streak.
Miranda Otto will play Zelda Spellman, Sabrina's sterner witch aunt. Proud and devout, Zelda believes there is no greater honor than serving the Dark Lord as a member of the Church of Night. She is the family's disciplinarian, fiercely protective of Sabrina.
Michelle Gomez will play Mary Wardell, Sabrina's favorite teacher and mentor at Baxter High. When she is possessed by the Devil's handmaiden, Madam Satan, Ms. Wardwell turns into a sultry, cunning manipulator, always trying to lure Sabrina down the Path of Night.
Perdomo Chance will play Ambrose Spellman, Sabrina's warlock cousin from England. Placed under house-arrest by the Witches Council, Ambrose is witty, puckis, pan-sexual, and one of Sabrina's partners in crime, always up for mischief.
Richard Coyle plays Father Blackwood, is High Priest of the Church of Night and Dean of the Academy of the Unseen Arts. Ruthless and ambitious, Blackwood hides a terrifying dark diary that will be in direct contact with Sabrina and other members of the coven.
