Godzilla: Monster Planet (November 17) - Excludes U.S.

Netflix Animated Japanese Language Movie
The first of a trilogy plans to re-imagine the iconic Godzilla. Working with the studio Polygon Pictures, who has animated other Netflix distributed content like Knights of Sidonia and BLAME!, this will be the first high quality animated Godzilla.

Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond (November 17)



Netflix Distributed Documentary
Jim Carrey earned a Golden Globe for portraying Andy Kaufman in Man on the Moon (1999). In this documentary Carrey looks at behind the scenes footage captured by Kaufman's former girlfriend Lynne Margulies and former writing partner Bob Zmuda. Carrey and Kaufman share similar background stories and Carrey discusses channeling Kaufman and Kaufman's alter ego Tony Clifton while broadly discussing his own career. The full title is Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond - Special Featuring, Contractually Obligated Mention of Tony Clifton. It was reported on September 11 that Netflix bought this at the Toronto Film Festival for $3 million.

Longmire Season 6 (November 17)

Netflix Series Continuation - 10 episodes
Wyoming county Sheriff Walt Longmire solves crimes, runs for re-elections, attempts to solves his wife's murder, and contends with an Indian reservation. This is the final season.
Longmire originally premiered on A&E, producing  three seasons. Netflix continued the series through seasons four, five, and six.
Based on the Walt Longmire mystery novels by Craig Johnson, Walt Longmire was played by Australian actor Robert Taylor. His deputy was played by Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) and his best friend was portrayed by Lou Diamond Phillips.

Mudbound (November 17)

Netflix Distributed Movie
Originally premiering at the Sundance film festival, Mudbound is set in the post WWII south. Returning soldiers Jamie (Garrett Hedlund) and Ronsel (Jason Mitchell) forge a friendship while their parents both face hardships farming. Also stars Jason Clarke, Carey Mulligan, and Mary J. Blige.
This will premiere simultaneously in select theaters.

Marvel's The Punisher Season 1 (November 17)

Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters Season 1 (November 17)

Netflix Kids Series - 26 episodes
Teen Jake Armstrong and his two pals Nathan Park and Ricardo Perez are exposed to dangerous chemicals that give them the ability to stretch their bodies. They begin fighting crime.
Steven Yen, Wil Wheaton, Felicia Day, Keith David, and Kate Mulgrew lend their voice talent.
Originally introduced by Hasbro in 1976, Stretch Armstrong was the a toy that could stretch from its original size of fifteen inches to four feet.

Beat Bugs All Together Now Special (November 21)

Netflix Kids Special
The animated series, which released two seasons in 2016, featured music from The Beatles to inspire the adventures of five child-like bugs. In this 48 minute special the bugs venture outside their yard to attend a talent show.
Songs featured in the special include, Here Comes the Sun, All Together Now, and Ticket to Ride. A new character, Queen Bee will also be introduced.

Brian Regan: Nunchucks and Flamethrowers (November 21)

Regan is an American stand-up comedian who uses observational, sarcastic, and self-deprecating humor. His performances are clean as he refrains from profanity and off-color humor. Regan's material typically covers everyday events, such as shipping a package with UPS and a visit to an optometrist. Regan makes frequent references to childhood, including little league baseball, grade school spelling bees, and science projects.

The first German Netflix series is a family mystery saga with a supernatural twist that takes the story back to 1986. Two missing children connect four families as they search for the kids in the present day.
The question isn't who kidnapped the children, but when. The years 2019, 1986, and 1953 are somehow linked. Creators are Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese.

Dreamworks: Home for the Holidays (December 1)

This is a holiday special for the Netflix kids's series Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh, based on the 2015 movie where alien Tip moves in with Oh and her family. Growing up with a Boov can be quite silly, yet incredibly fun. Kelly Clarkson will be voicing a character.
Oh brings Christmas to Tip who has never heard of the holiday before. With an inaccurate explanation to his fellow aliens of  Christmas, their plan backfires.

Craig Ferguson: Tickle Fight (December 5)
Netflix Original Comedy Special
Craig Ferguson is a Scottish-American television host, comedian, and actor. He is the host of both the syndicated game show Celebrity Name Game, for which he has won two Daytime Emmy Awards, and of Join or Die with Craig Ferguson on History. He was also the host of the CBS late-night talk show The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson from 2005-2014.

The Crown Season 2 (December 8)
Netflix Original Series - 10 episodes
Claire Foy plays Elizabeth II and Matt Smith (Dr. Who) plays Prince Phillip. Netflix has committed to 2 seasons/20 episodes, though the show could extend to cover current day.
Michael C. Hall will play JFK in season 2,which will conclude at 1964, which could signal a new cast moving forward. Foy and Smith would be too young to play their respective parts at that point. The creators have mentioned continuing to present day.
While seasons 3 and 4 have not officially been confirmed, it was reported on October 27 that Olivia Colman (Broadchurch, The Night Manager) will play Queen Elizabeth in seasons 3 and 4. Early pre-production has already begun.

Fate/Apocrypha Season 1 (December 12-Worldwide / Released November 7 in U.S./Canada)
Netflix Distributed Japanese Language Series - 25 episodes
In this anime, the city of Fuyuki, seven magi and their Heroic Spirits once clashed in a Holy Grail War. Amid the chaos of the war, a mage made off with the Grail. Decades later, the Yggdmillennia clan of Romania possess the Grail and secede from the Mage’s Association. Angered by the move, the Association sends assassins after them, only to have them wiped out by a Yggdmillennia Servant.
This sparks a new Holy Grail War of unprecedented scale with two factions of seven Servants.

Trollhunters Season 2 - Tales of Arcadia (December 15)

Netflix Original Series - 13 episodes
This animated series based on Guillermo del Toro's book is about friends who uncover a mystery in their town. Jim, Toby, and Claire are selected to protect humans and the trolls that live underground.
It features the voice of Kelsey Grammer, Stephen Yeun, and Anton Yelchin. While Yelchin passed away in 2016, he had already recorded the first two seasons. Fifty two total episodes are planned broken into six chapter. The first season had twenty six episodes.
Mark Hamill, Lena Headey & David Bradley join the cast for season two.
Trollhunters will expand into a trilogy featuring trolls in Trollhunters, wizards in Wizards, and aliens in 3Below.

Ultimate Beastmaster Season 2 (December 15) 


Netflix Original Series - 10 episodes
In this reality series produced by Sylvester Stallone, two competitors attempt to conquer an obstacle course known as "The Beast."
From six different countries, 108 challengers will compete to become the Ultimate Beastmasters.
Terry Crews will host the U.S. version, with six different country specific versions and local celebrity hosts. Countries for season 2 include Spain, France, Italy, China, India and the U.S.
The Ultiamte Beastmaster website began taking applications for Season 2 in July 2017, with contestants required to be available in September 2017 for filming.

Bright (December 22)

Netflix Original Movie
Will Smith, Joel Edgerton, and Noomi Rapace star in this supernatural cop thriller where orcs and elves co-exist with humans. Two LAPD cops Daryl Ward (Smith) and orc Nick Jacoby (Edgerton) are forced to work together to retrieve a powerful weapon.
Directed by David Ayer, principle filming was completed at the beginning of February and a teaser was released.

This French serial killer thriller stars Carole Bouquet as Jeanne Deber, aka The Mantis. She's a famous serial killer who terrorized France more than 25 years ago and is forced by the police to come out of solitary confinement to help hunt down a copycat. Babylon Berlin Season 1 (2017)

Based on the novels by Volker Kutscher, this Raymond Chandler-esque crime story from Tom Tykwer follows German detective Gereon Rath (Volker Bruch) who is sent to Berlin to investigate the Russian mafia. The story encmpasses sixteen parts over two seasons which were filmed concurrently. A third season is being planned.
The 1929 period epic, the most expensive German-language TV series in history, is set against the social and political upheaval of Germany in 1929. The world's most modern and progressive society is threatened by rising right-wing extremism and a world economy teetering on the brink.
The show follows police inspector Gereon Rath into a tangled web of crime and intrigue in the days of the Weimar Republic.

Hondros (2017)

It was reported on September 5 that Netflix picked up this documentary that originally premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in the spring of 2017. Directed by Greg Campbell, the focus is photographer Chris Hondros. Using vintage videos, first person interview, and historic artifacts, Campbell tells the story of his best friend Chris Hondros as Chris risked his life on the front line of wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya. This is produced by Jake Gyllenhaal.

IO (2017)

In this sci-fi film, a teenage girl is one of the last survivors on a post-cataclysmic Earth and must decide whether to stay or board a space shuttle and join a distant colony. Anthony Mackie from Captain America, Danny Huston from Wolverine, and Margaret Qualley from The Leftovers star.

Marvel's Jessica Jones Season 2 (2017)

13 Reasons Why Season 2 (2018)

Season 1 was based on a 2007 young adult novel. Clay (Dylan Minnette) finds a box on his doorstep addressed to him two weeks after his classmate Hannah ended her life. Inside he discovers thirteen tapes with thirteen reasons why Hannah did it.
Season 2 continues the stories of the characters left behind as they deal with the aftermath, but Hannah will also definitely be back as characters delve into the past during the trial. We'll get answers on Bryce, Alex, and Tyler according to show runner Brian Yorkey and there will be a new piece of technology from the past introduced. Yorkey also stated that while season 1 was Hannah's point of view, and she didn't tell any untruths, there are at least 12 kids who have another point of view.
Eleven new actors have been cast for season 2, Anne Winters, Bryce Cass, Chelsea Alden, Allison Miller, Samantha Logan, Kelli O'Hara, Ben Lawson, Jay Weber, Brenda Strong, Meredith Monroe, and RJ Brown.
Chloe (Winters) is the 'it girl' and new head cheerleader.

Kevin Spacey will play author Gore Vidal in this biopic. As a political commentator Vidal focused on the history of the United States and its society, while his novels explored the nature of corruption in public and private life. Vidal passed away in 2012.
The movie is shooting on location at Gore's Italian villa La Rondinaia. Michael Stuhlbarg plays Howard, Gore's long time companion. Griffin Dunne and Douglas Booth also star with Michael Hoffman directing. The screenplay is by Hoffman and Jay Parini who wrote The Empire of Self: The Life of Gore Vidal.
On November 3, Netflix announced the cancellation after various reports of Spacey's sexual assaults.

Timothy Hutton, Carla Gugino, and Michiel Huisman are starring, with Henry Thomas, Elizabeth Reaser, Kate Siegel, Lulu Wilson, Victoria Pedretti, Mckenna Grace. and Violet McGraw also cast.
The novel was previously adapted to film in 1963 and 1999, both titled The Haunting.
In the book, the heir to the house hosts a supernatural investigator who has invited a shy woman and a gypsy to the old mansion, both having previous paranormal experiences. The four of them experience unexplained phenomena.
On November 3, it was reported that Annabeth Gish would have a recurring role.

It was reported on October 30, this will be the final season Netflix announced after Kevin Spacey's assault allegations. On October 31 Netflix announced production for season 6 was suspended indefinitely.
On November 3rd, Netflix announced that Kevin Spacey will no longer be involved in the show.

It was reported on November 18 that Kali (Eight) is likely to return to Season 3 to resolve her story line.

Composed of The Monocle, Spaceboy, The Kraken, The Rumor, The Sitting, Number Five, The Horror, and The White Violin, their divergent abilities created a comic with a twisted take on the super hero genre that was dark yet humorous while grounded in reality.
Two comic series were published, Apocalypse Suite and Dallas, with two additional series in development. The comic takes place in an alternate history where JFK wasn't assassinated and is set in 1977. Forty three super human infants were born to women with no signs of pregnancy. The Monocle adopts the seven surviving children. After disbanding, The Monocle's death brings them back together.
It was reported on November 10 that Ellen Page would play Vanya aka The White Violin, the only member of the family without supernatural powers.

Ava DuVernay will write and direct the true story with Oprah Winfrey as one of the producers, exposing the breakdown of the U.S. criminal justice system. This series will span from 1989 to 2014 focusing on the Central Park jogger case where Anthony McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana and Korey Wise were convicted of assault and rape of investment banker Trisha Meili in Central Park. These five juveniles were convicted twice before their sentences were vacated in 2002 when the real perpetrator confessed to the crimes. The Central Park five were exonerated, reaching a settlement with the city of New York.

Rilakkuma is a toy bear that spends its days lounging around the apartment. Rilakkuma loves pancakes, rice omelets, custard pudding, and "dango" rice dumplings. Its friends are Kaoru's pet bird Kiiroitori and a small white cub named Korilakkuma.
 Based on Rilakkuma, an extremely popular Japanese toy-bear character similar to Hello Kitty, the stop motion animated episodes will be eleven minutes in length. Danza plays disgraced former NYPD officer Tony Sr. who never followed the rules. He lives with his son, an earnest, obsessively honest NYPD detective Tony Jr., played by singer-songwriter Josh Groban, who makes a point of always following the rules. This odd couple becomes unofficial partners as Tony Sr. offers his overly-cautious son blunt, street-wise advice on everything from handling suspects to handling women.
This is Groban's first major tv role, his casting announced on November 8. Filming is scheduled to begin in late 2017.
It was reported on November 10 that Monica Barbaro will play Cara Vasquez, a street smart and self-assured detective on the All-City Homicide Task Force. She believes in getting the job done, even if that means bending the rules, which contrasts with her by-the-book partner, TJ Caruso.
It was reported on November 14th Isiah Whitlock Jr. (Senator Clay Davis in The Wire) was cast as Burl Loomis. He's counting down to retirement. Slow on his feet with a deadpan retort, he has no patience for the department's younger officers.

He is hired by on of the children's parents, but after the mother disappears, the boy's father returns from the Iraq War intent on wreaking havoc.

House of Cards Spinoff (TBA)

Netflix is considering three potential spinoffs, with one concept focusing on Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly), the loyal political aide to the devious Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) in the first five seasons of the political drama. Eric Roth is set to write. 
Plans for the spinoffs are in limbo after Spacey admitted to sexual assault on October 30 and House of Cards  was announced as canceled following season 6 soon after.

Hummingbird Salamander (TBA)

The book is the latest from sci-fi writer Jeff VanderMeer, the best-selling author of the Southern Reach trilogy. He gets to see the life he could have had as he and his manager rekindle friendships, careers, and reminisce about the past.
Written and directed by Greg Pritikin, Andie MacDowell, Kate Micucci and Chris Parnell have also been cast. It was reported that filming began September 25.

Medici: Masters of Florence Season 2 (TBA) - US, UK, Canada, India, Taiwan

This follows the Medici dynasty, set in 15th century Florence, starring Dustin Hoffman as Giovanni di Bicci de' Medici. In season one, Richard Madden from Game of Thrones was the protagonist Cosmo the Elder, who was elected as the head of the Florentine republic and later mysteriously poisoned.
Season 2 will be called Medici: Lorenzo the Magnificent, taking place twenty years after season 1.
A young Lorenzo, the nephew of Richard Madden's character, is forced to take over the family bank, which has been mismanaged by his father. As Lorenzo and his brother try to make Florence a great financial and cultural center, they face off against the Pazzi family, and Pope Sixtus IV.
Sean Bean joins the cast in season 2 as Jacopo Pazzi. Daniel Sharman (Fear the Walking Dead) will take the lead role playing a young Lorenzo the Magnificent in 15th century Florence. Bradley James will star as his brother Giuliano.

Sanaa Lathan stars as Violet with Ernie Hudson playing her father Richard. RIcky Whittle has been cast as Clint, a doctor from London who has a long term relationship with Violet. Haifaa Al-Mansour will direct. Production begins August 2017.

That opened the door for Jorge Mario Bergoglio, the Argentinian Cardinal who became the first Jesuit pope, Pope Francis (Jonathan Pryce). He was the first from the Americas and from outside Europe since the 8th Century. The drama conveys his reluctance to take the post in 2013.

This was a spec script by Mattson Tomlin. While details have not been released, it's a sci-fi thriller directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman (Nerve, Viral, Paranormal Activity 3). Tomlin has had two scripts featured on The Blacklist.

An author (Kathryn Hahn) undergoes multiple fertility treatments to become pregnant, adding stress to her marriage. Her husband (Paul Giamatti) is a theater producer and owns a business called The Pickle Guys. Denis O'Hare (American Horror Story) will co-star as a fertility specialist. The story is by writer-director Tamara Jenkins.

Quicksand [Störst av Allt] (TBA)

This is Netflix's first Swedish original. Based on the best-selling novel by Malin Persson, which was published in 26 countries and was voted Nordic Crime Novel of the year in 2016. Camilla Ahlgren is writing the adatpation about a normal high school student, Maja Norberg, from Stockholm's wealthiest suburb. She finds herself on trial for murder, but when the events of that tragic day are revealed, so too are the private details about her relationship with Sebastian Fagerman and his dysfunctional family. Production begins in 2018.

The series follows the story of Nicole Reese, who raises her son Dion after the death of her husband Mark (Michael B. Jordan). The normal dramas of raising a child as a single single mom are amplified when Dion starts to manifest several magical, superhero-like abilities. Nicole must now keep her sons' gifts secret with the help of Mark's best friend Pat, and protect Dion from antagonists out to exploit him while figuring out the origin of his abilities.
Based on the comic and short film from commercial and music video director Dennis Liu, Michael B. Jordan is also an executive producer. Charles D. King, Kim Roth, Poppy Hanks, Kenny Goodman, and Michael Green will star.

On October 2, it was reported this reboot will begin production in December 2017. The script is by Black-ish (2014-) creator Kenya Barris and will star Samuel L. Jackson in the role of John Shaft. Jackson played the nephew of the original Shaft in the 2000 John Singleton movie. Independence Day: Resurgence star Jessie T. Usher is set to play Shaft's son, a young FBI cyber expert agent who, despite being estranged from his father, is forced to work with him on a case. Old school and new school collide, and Richard Roundtree is also expected to reprise his iconic role, as he did in the 2000 film.
The distribution deal is unique, with Netflix paying half of the film's $30 million budget for international streaming rights starting two weeks after the U.S. theater premiere. The domestic streaming and DVD release will follow a typical timeline.

James Corden's production group Fulwell 73 is producing this fly on the wall documentary series following the Sunderland Associationg Football club. The production group grew up watching the team and have been trying to make this series for ten years. The series was first reported on November 2.
The group is currently producing Training Days for Youtube, showing soccer stars on and off the field.

Tales of the City Season 1 (TBA)

Netflix is reviving Armistead Maupin's San Franciso set Tales of the City with original cast members Laura Linney and Olympia Dukakis returning. This originally aired with both actors in 1993. The revival would be a modern take on the LGBT themed series set twenty five years later, possibly shot in San Francisco. Tales of the City was the first of nine books where Maupin explored alternative lifestyles and San Francisco culture.

Tau (TBA) - Excludes China

It was reported on November 3 that Netflix acquired this sci-fi thriller, starring Maika Monroe, Ed Skrein, and Gary Oldman. Written by Noga Landau, a street-smart-grifter (Monroe) is the latest victim kidnapped and held captive in a fatal experiment. Tau, an advanced artificial intelligence developed by her captor Alex (Skrein) is her captor. She must race against the boundaries of man and machine to win her freedom before she suffers the same fate as the previous subjects.

Tidelands Season 1 (TBA)
Netflix Original Series - 10 episodes
Tidelands is Netflix's first Australian original series, a supernatural crime drama that will begin production in 2018. The drama follows the small fishing village of Orphelin Bay where the body of a local fisherman washes ashore. The protagonist must uncover the town's secrets while she investigates the strange inhabitants, a group of dangerous half-Sirens, half-humans called "Tidelanders." Episodes will be fifty minutes in length.

Simmons was a founding member of the groundbreaking hip hop group Run DMC, originally performing under the stage name DJ Run. He is also a practicing minister.
